Dance Palace is the 21st episode of Kids Incorporated. This episode features Kids Incorporated hosting their first annual dance contest at the P*lace.

Plot SummaryEdit

The episode begins with the crowd being excited over the first annual dance contest at the P*lace. Following opening song "(Love is Like a) Heat Wave", Riley welcomes the crowd and goes over the rules; followed by the first contestant, Carla Martin, appearing on stage to dance to an instrumental version of "Footloose"; with Mickey and Gloria joining in the dancing.

The next two contestants (the first of whom is named Garrett Young) dance to "Freak-A-Zoid" (again; instrumental with audio effects). Following a performance of "Billie Jean"; the grand prize is announced (Singing Machine) before the next two contestants (Tiffany Brady and Danielle Vandenberg) take to the floor to the tune of "Maniac"; followed by the last contestant, a kid calling himself "The Little Wizard" dancing to "There's No Stopping Us".

After Stacy whispers to Mickey, Gloria is tasked with announcing the winners: Tiffany and Danielle, setting up closing song "Far From Over".

  • The three songs performed by Kids Incorporated is the fewest in any episode.
  • "(Love is Like a) Heat Wave" would later be used in the Season 2 finale "Decade of Hits" and Season 5's "Kahuna Kids".
  • The Singing Machine Company - manufacturer of the grand prize - is a karaoke music corporation (believed to be the first company to manufacture home karaoke products beginning in 1988) that was a sponsor of Kids Incorporated; with the company's name even serving as the title of a song (unrelated to the brand) in the Season 3 episode "Riley Gets Stung".
  • Renee and Stacy didn't sing in this episode.
